The success story of IDEAL-PACK GmbH began in Talheim in 1995. With just eight employees and a production area of around 1,400 square meters, the company laid the foundation for impressive growth. From the very beginning, it pursued a clear goal: to create real added value for customers in industry and retail by establishing a lettershop.

The first major growth was already evident in 2000, and pure lettershop activities gave way to customized packaging and logistics solutions. The production area was expanded to 4,000 square meters and the team grew to 82 employees—a clear sign of the increasing demand and trust that IDEAL-PACK was able to build up in the market in a very short time.

An important milestone followed in 2003: with the founding of IDEAL Pack Food Solutions, the company expanded its field of activity to the food sector – a step that not only opened up new customer groups, but also entailed a high degree of responsibility in handling sensitive products.

A year later, in 2004, the company moved to the Böllinger Höfe in Heilbronn. With 170 employees, around 200 customers, and a production area expanded to 5,600 square meters, IDEAL-PACK was now firmly established as a high-performance partner in the industry.

The continuous development continued in 2008 with the founding of IDEAL Fullservice GmbH. At the same time, the newly built logistics center began operations – with an additional 12,000 square meters of production space. This enabled IDEAL-PACK GmbH to offer its customers comprehensive full-service solutions, from production and storage to logistics.

In 2009, IS IDEAL Services GmbH was established as a subsidiary for temporary staffing. This strategic addition made it possible to respond more flexibly to increasing personnel requirements while also providing other companies with qualified specialists.

In 2011, the company’s own high-bay warehouse with over 16,000 pallet spaces was put into operation – another example of the company’s forward-looking approach and continuous investment in infrastructure and technology. Two years later, in 2013, a new production hall with an additional 5,000 square meters of space was inaugurated.

In 2017, two newly built halls with a total of 7,000 square meters were added, which significantly increased the overall capacity once again. With continued growth, not only did the floor space increase, but so did the number of employees – IDEAL Pack became an attractive employer in the region.

A significant step towards digitalization and e-commerce was taken in 2018 with the founding of IDEAL Alpha GmbH. This subsidiary offers an infrastructure specifically designed for B2B and D2C customers, thus meeting the high demands of online retail – from storage and fulfillment to returns logistics.

Sustainability played an important role at IDEAL-PACK from an early stage. In 2019, a new 5,800 square meter production hall was built and, at the same time, a 750 kWp solar power plant was commissioned – a clear signal of the company’s responsible use of resources and its focus on the future.

The year 2020 marked the 25th anniversary of IDEAL-PACK GmbH – a proud moment to look back on a success story with many chapters. From humble beginnings to today’s group of companies with several subsidiaries, state-of-the-art technology, and a strong team.

In 2023, the company presented itself with a new look: with the introduction of a revised corporate design and a modern website, a further step was taken towards strengthening the brand and its digital presence. The new look not only stands for fresh ideas, but also for clear positioning as an innovative and reliable partner.

Another highlight followed on April 16, 2024: IDEAL-PACK GmbH successfully passed the IFS Global Markets Assessment at the intermediate level. The assessment covered logistics activities in the areas of storage, packaging, picking, shipping, and repackaging of primary packaged food, HPC items, and packaging materials. This certification, based on the requirements of IFS Progress Logistics (version 1, June 2016), once again confirms the high level of quality and the outstanding process reliability within the company.

The year 2025 will be entirely dedicated to celebrating 30 YEARS OF IDEAL-PACK GmbH. On May 16, 2025, we will celebrate our 30th anniversary together with the entire workforce – proud of what we have achieved, delighted with the journey we have taken together, and looking forward to everything that lies ahead.
